Our international operations have grown significantly over the last several years. We have current production in offshore China and Malaysia. We continue to seek ways to grow our presence in select international areas and invested more than $200 million overseas in 2007. We have international offices in Beijing, China; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
We rely on a mixture of experienced personnel from many countries and backgrounds to further develop our international operations. In addition to our international offices, a core group of experts in the international exploration and production business operates from Newfield's headquarters in Houston, Texas. We are searching for new international areas that contain the right elements for Newfield's development and/or expansion.
