Viewpoint: Regional Health, Safety, and Environmental
“We have monthly Health, Safety and Environmental meetings in each district to discuss incidents and near misses, as well as review a timely HS&E topic. This serves as a valuable learning experience and reinforcement tool to everyone involved. We also work directly with our contract operators to improve safety. They are a big part of our team. In addition, our region initiated a Hazard Identification Tracking System (HITS) List to provide employees with a vehicle to identify and then correct and/or eliminate anything seen as a potential threat to safe operations. Recently, our Company employees have completed an entire year without an OSHA recordable or DART injury – a major accomplishment.” More >>
