Lee K. Boothby
was named Chairman at the Company's Annual Meeting in May 2010. He was previously named Chief Executive Officer at the Company's Annual Meeting in May 2009. He was also elected by Newfield's stockholders as a member of the Company's Board of Directors. The Board previously named Boothby to the role of President in February 2009. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President - Acquisitions and Business Development. From 2002 - 2007, he was Vice President - Mid-Continent. Boothby was responsible for leading Newfield's development of the growing Woodford Shale Play in southeastern Oklahoma, along with other resource plays that have led to this division's significant growth. From 1999-2001, Boothby was Managing Director - Newfield Exploration Australia Ltd. and managed the Company's operations in the Timor Sea (divested in 2003) from Perth, Australia. Prior to joining Newfield in 1999, Boothby worked for Cockrell Oil Corporation, British Gas and Tenneco Oil Company. He serves as a board member for both ANGA (America’s Natural Gas Alliance) and the OERB (Oklahoma Energy Resources Board). He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Boothby holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and an M.B.A. from Rice University.
Gary D. Packer
was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Company’s Annual Meeting in May 2009. Previously, he was Vice President – Rocky Mountains where he managed Company operations from Denver, Colorado. Prior to this, he was General Manager – Rocky Mountains. Before managing the Company's operations in the Rockies, he was Manager of Acquisitions and Development in the Gulf of Mexico and was instrumental in the success of the Company's Gulf operations. Packer joined the Company in 1995. Prior to joining Newfield, Packer worked for Amerada Hess in both Rocky Mountain and Gulf of Mexico divisions. Prior to these roles, he worked for Tenneco Oil Company. He is a graduate of Penn State University and holds a degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.
Terry W. Rathert
was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Company’s Annual Meeting in May 2009. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Newfield. He was one of the Company's founding members. Prior to being named CFO in early 2000, Rathert served as Vice President - Planning and Administration and Secretary since July 1997. From 1992-97, he served as Vice President, CFO and Secretary and from 1989-92 he coordinated the Company's planning and marketing activities. Prior to Newfield, Rathert was Director of Economic Planning and Analysis for Tenneco Oil Exploration and Production Company. Rathert has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and has completed the Management Program at Rice University. Rathert serves on Texas A&M University's Petroleum Engineering Department's Industry Board, the Mays Business School Finance Department Advisory Board and is a member of the Texas Southeast Region of Trustees for the Independent Producers Association of America.
W. Mark Blumenshine
is Newfield's Vice President - Land. Prior to this assignment, he served as Manager
- Land. Blumenshine joined Newfield in 2001. Prior to joining Newfield, he worked for
Dominion Exploration & Production Co. He is a member of the American Association of
Professional Landmen, the Houston Association of Professional Landmen, the Professional
Landman's Association of New Orleans the North Houston Association of Professional
Landmen and the Houston Land Managers Association. Blumenshine is a graduate of the
University of Texas with Bachelor's degrees in Petroleum Land Management and Business
Administration.
Stephen C. Campbell
is Newfield's Vice President - Investor Relations. Campbell joined Newfield in 1999
and prior to his current position had served as Manager - Investor Relations. Campbell
joined Newfield in 1999 after working in investor relations for Anadarko Petroleum
Corporation. He is a member of the Petroleum Investor Relations Association, the National
Investor Relations Institute, the Public Relations Society of America and the Texas
Public Relations Association. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
George T. Dunn
is Vice President - Mid-Continent and leads a team that continues the development of the Woodford Shale and other resource plays in the region. Dunn was most recently Vice President - Gulf Coast where he led this division in the development of joint ventures to expand operations in south Texas. Prior to this position, he was General Manager - Gulf Coast. Dunn took over responsibility for the onshore Gulf Coast effort in mid-2001 and was responsible for the integration of the Company's acquisition of EEX Corporation and the growth that followed. Before managing Gulf Coast operations, Dunn was the general manager of Newfield's Western Gulf of Mexico division. Prior to joining Newfield in 1992, Dunn was employed by Meridian Oil Company and Tenneco Oil Company. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the OIPA (Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association). Dunn holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Daryll T. Howard
was promoted to Vice President - Rocky Mountains in May 2009, succeeding Gary D. Packer. Prior to this promotion, he had served as East Team Rocky Mountain Asset Manager since June 2008. Previously, he assisted in establishing Newfield's Malaysia office and the growth of the Company's international operations. Before this, he held positions of increasing responsibility in Newfield's Gulf of Mexico organization. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
John H. Jasek
is Vice President - Gulf of Mexico. He has led the Company's Gulf of Mexico team since
joining the organization in 2000. Prior to joining Newfield, Jasek worked for Anadarko
Petroleum Corporation and Amoco Production Company. Jasek is a member of the Society of
Petroleum Engineers and the American Petroleum Institute. He is a graduate of Texas A&M
University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering.

Samuel E. Langford
was promoted to Vice President - Corporate Development in May 2009. His areas of responsibility include business development, product marketing and strategic planning. Prior to this promotion, he had served as Manager - Acquisitions, Planning and Commercial Development of Newfield's Mid-Continent division in Tulsa, Okla. Prior to joining Newfield in 2004, he held a number of management and professional positions with various companies including Cockrell Oil Corporation, British Gas Exploration America, Exxon Company USA, Tenneco Oil and Tenneco, Inc. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn.
John D. Marziotti
became General Counsel in August 2007 and was named Secretary of Newfield in May
2008. Marziotti joined Newfield in 2003 as Legal Counsel. Prior to joining Newfield,
he was a partner with the firm of Strasburger & Price L.L.P. in their Houston
office. Marziotti holds a B.A. from the College of Charleston and a J.D. from
Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the
Association of Corporate Counsel and the Texas General Counsel Forum.

James J. Metcalf
is Vice President - Drilling. Prior to this assignment, Metcalf served as Newfield's
Manager - Drilling and has been an employee of Newfield since 1995. Prior to joining
Newfield, he worked for Tenneco Oil E&P and two Gulf Coast Independents as VP Operations.
He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the International Association of
Drilling Contractors, The American Association for Drilling Engineers and the National
Ocean Industries Association. Metcalf holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from
Marietta College.
Brian L. Rickmers
is Controller and Assistant Secretary responsible for the corporate accounting function
at Newfield. Prior to this, he served in various capacities from Accountant to Financial
Analyst and Assistant Controller. He joined Newfield in December 1993 after serving nearly
four years in public accounting. Rickmers holds a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Texas
A&M University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Texas Society of
Certified Public Accountants.
Susan G. Riggs
is Treasurer. Riggs joined Newfield in 1997 as a Financial Analyst. Before this, she was
Treasurer/Controller of The Huffco Group. She holds a B.B.A. degree in Accounting and
M.S. degree in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas. She is a Certified
Public Accountant, member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the
Association for Financial Professionals.

William D. Schneider
is Newfield's Vice President - Onshore Gulf Coast & International. He also is a founding
member of the Company. Prior to his current position, Schneider was Vice President -
International. He also had served as Manager - Exploration from 1992-97, Technical
Coordinator from 1991-92 and from 1989-92, Schneider was a Company geologist. Prior to
Newfield, Schneider was Division Geologist in the Western Gulf Division of Tenneco Oil
Exploration and Production Company. Schneider holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Geology from
Boston University and is a member of the American Association of Geologists.
Michael D. Van Horn
is Vice President - Geoscience. Van Horn joined Newfield in November 2006. Van Horn previously served as Vice President of International Exploration of EOG Resources. Prior to that position, he was Director of Exploration. Prior to EOG Resources, Van Horn worked for Enron Oil and Gas, British Gas E&P, Inc. and Tenneco Oil Company. Van Horn holds a B.S. degree in Geologic Engineering from the University of Nevada and an M.S. in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines.
James T. Zernell
is Vice President - Production. Prior to this position, he was Manager - Production and
H.S. & E. Zernell joined Newfield in 1997 and has held increasing levels of
responsibility in the Company’s production division. Prior to Newfield, he worked
for ARCO Alaska and Tenneco Oil E&P. In the past, Mr. Zernell has held the Chairman
Positions of the Offshore Issues Task Group for the Domestic Petroleum Council and also
for Offshore Operators Executive Sub-Committee. Zernell holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from
Pennsylvania State University.
